Hotel Manager

We are looking for our next great team member, a strategic leader to play a key role in the operation of our establishment. Your duties will include exceeding the expectations of guests and employees by creating an environment consistent with high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills along with a positive attitude and a drive for continuous improvement. This position is best suited for an individual with strong time-management skills that allows for effectively managing a high volume of work activity within multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the establishment.
- Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
- Address customers complaints or concerns.
- Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities of conventions, banquets, receptions and other functions.
- Recruit and supervise staff, oversee training and set work schedules.
- Supervise maintenance and repair services.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Tourism and/or Hotel Management preferred.
- 3-5 years of related work experience in the hospitality industry.
- Proven ability to establish credibility and influence as a leader amongst management & staff.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
- Flexibility, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
